2017 CommonAge Bursary

To attend the inaugural Commonwealth Elders’ Forum 2018

For professionals who can clearly demonstrate their work benefits older people living in a Commonwealth country.

In 2017 we launched a bursary scheme to provide some financial support to delegates from developing countries to attend inaugural Elders Forum. Held in Reading in April 2018, the event was part of the Ageing In Common: an international perspective conference, which also incorporated the National Care Forum annual conference.

We are exceedingly grateful for the generous support by Quality Compliance Systems for this bursary.

Nineteen applicants from developing Commonwealth countries have been awarded a bursary, which has enabled industry leaders in Bangladesh, Cameroon, India, South Africa, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, Australia, Tanzania and Uganda a unique opportunity work towards the WHO Decade of Healthy Ageing 2020-2030 at this exciting conference.
